Wallabies 2025

What do we think the odds are on Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) resigning with RA? Gotta be decent and if your RA you 'd be tempted to put a decent offer on the table. He seems to have genuine interest the world cup and his good form warrants a good offer. Plus, much like JAS, it wouldnt hurt to sign another player who leagies are now familiar with to draw more press and eyeballs from the public / press. Worth the investment.

Rooster will probably offer him a 5 or 6 year contract, which might be too good to pass up.

League doesn’t tend to value their wingers too highly. Can’t afford to tie up too much of your salary cap with a winger. However he’s certainly doing his best to put himself in the frame for a big increase.

Hopefully a home World Cup is enough to entice him.

Bringing Nawaqanitawase back on a big-money deal sets a dangerous precedent. While I’d love to see him in Wallabies colours again, doing it this way could encourage more young players to leave Union for League, knowing they can be lured back with inflated contracts.

In my opinion, the better pathway for his return would be through Rugby 360 or via an overseas club—something that doesn’t risk destabilising the current player landscape.

Id reckon it would actually be a great look if we had one of the nrls best backs converting back to play in a home world cup. Pretty unique circumstance too so i cant see it setting a bad precedent. Plus RA needs to do anything they can to win in 2027

He’s been the BEST NRL winger this year .. (not that they’ll ever admit it ..)

heck they changed the NRL rules cause of him , otherwise he was a shoe in for rookie of the year
