Wallabies 2025

Gotta wonder how many of these potentially injured players would be running it out if we were playing in a decider.

The emotional exhaustion of last week is probably quite high. A few players likely being ruled out as more of a precaution to try and ensure they are fit for TRC.

Massimo de Lutiis is the next BIG thing.

Yep, time to go all in on Mass post Lions. Has all the raw ingredients to suceed at test footy. Don't want him playing big test minutes in the next 12 months but need to invest now as successor to AAA by 2027 WC.

At loosehead, need to capture Lington Ieli as Wallaby eligible if he is keen. Read an article a while back that he was keen to play for Fiji.

Yeah I’d take leli on the spring tour.

Yes, but as long as we intend to use him medium to long term and not just block him from playing elsewhere. (I still think Australia did wrong by Taqele Naiyaravoro)

On the rise undoubtedly, but just 21 years old (birthday 22 June) is he the next cab off the rank for LHP test spot? If so, says a lot about the stock of props in this country.
Probably not ready. Slipper was young when he started. I think you take him on Spring tour and you might give him some game time as a reserve. He could go up against England, their THP aren’t great.

‘You’ve got a crazy talent on your hands’: O’Driscoll backs Sua'ali'i to thrive in rugby (https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-...ali'i-to-thrive-in-rugby-20250728-p5miev.html)

Now happily retired, O’Driscoll is falling in love with Australia all over again. O’Driscoll can finally appreciate the beauty of the country after years of seeing it mostly through bus and aeroplane windows as a player. One of the best outside centres to ever play the game has also relished the opportunity of watching Joseph-Aukuso Sua'ali'i at close range.

“You always pay attention when a 20-year-old is the guy who gets sent off in a State of Origin game for a horrific high shot, you kind of go, ‘wow’,” O’Driscoll said.

“Whether it’s a good shot or not, you see he’s throwing it about and he’s 20 years of age, I always think with those guys, there’s something there.
“If you’ve got that edge as well as all of the skill set, you’ve got a crazy talent on your hands. It’s just about getting him quality ball.
“(In the second Test) if you see the ball that he got, what he did with the break (to set up Tom Wright’s try). There hasn’t been much of that in the two Tests...If he sticks it out, he’ll be an amazing international, but he also needs a lot of help on the inside to give him a platform and opportunity.”

Interesting read, BOD obviously sees something in JAS - not there yet, but can make it.
