Wales v Fiji

Bloody Hell. Poor time management on my behalf. How good is this?

Just switched on Wales v Fiji match on Fox. 1/2 time Wales 6 - Fiji 13

Still a lot of footy to go.

Superbru Green and Gold Rugby tipping comp doesn't have too many tipping for the Fijians. Embarrassment may be heading my way as I have Wales by 21 points.

and speaking of time management, plenty of others in the Superbru tipping comp who have not got their tips in for round 4 of EOYT.

Looking forward to second half.

Vid ref just disallowed try by Wales, whilst ball didn't touch the line itself, the carrier's wrist holding the ball did so...so obvious....so thought myself, it should be on...alas not...

Momentum is certainly with the Welsh at the moment.

Have the Fijians run out of steam?

PK to Wales now Wales 16 - 13 Fiji

Fijians seem to be kicking the ball away far too often.

A side known for their running rugby has kicked the ball about 40 times to the Welsh making about 20 kicks.

Are there too many Fijians playing Club footy under Soap Dodger coaches?

12 mins to go, 3 points in it. Fiji are dangerous when the lead is so small. Unfortunately it is more the Welsh lowering their standards than the Fijians pressuring them (or raising theirs). There has been loads of very scrappy play.

Shame the ref called the Fijians back when they were about to press the line, for a penalty 13m out....why?????????

16 all draw, but I think Fiji should have gone for the try. They would have won it.

Fiji really only did one thing very well - defend, aggressively - but coupled with their physical strength in contact when attacking, it was enough.

Their scrum was not great.

Second half possession and position appeared to be about 80% Welsh way.

I can only recall 1 decent incursion into the Welsh 22 which was the last drive which ultimately resulted in the PK to draw the game.

Would love to have seen the Wizards tap and go for glory, but you've gotta take points when they are on offer.

Wales really played very poorly on offence, and should have won the game by plenty.

Full credit to the Fijians to hold out the Welsh.

I put it down to those blue jumpers.

Wales = Red not blue!!

Just didn't sound right after oranges, when the ref calls out "Ready Blue, Ready White" before blowing time on.

It's a shame Fiji can't realise their full potential due to the self interests of the IRB Board and some certain members of the Fiji rugby union...also there should be a consideration given to players who would otherwise qualify to play for Fiji in the RWC but can't due to having played for other countries such as NZ or Aust in previous internationals and yet not picked in the final squads of the other countries in question...I feel the Saffies' quarter final against Fiji in 2007 RWC set them up for the ultimate prize...

I think he ruled that the Fijian was tackled and did not release prior to having another burst forward. No tactical advantage to Fiji, therefore back for the penalty.

Think the referee ruled the Fijian did not release in the tackle. Just before he awarded the penalty the Fijian ball carrier got back to hid feet after the tackle was complete, i will warrant you the tackle was only just complete under the current interpretation of the rules but nevertheless I wish more referees would rule this way as it would quickly clean up many problems in the tackle area.

Sorry a bit slow.
