Brumby Jack

An announcement is expected about his future tomorrow.

Surely, but sadly, his career is over? He hasn't done much since the RWC due to serious injury except suit up at Waratahs games and sit on the sideline.

He has trained a fair bit but it surely wouldn't be a comeback announcement, he is the type of guy that would just do it.

Fantastic career, tragically short, Wallabies and Tahs are poorer for losing him and in my book that makes him a great.

As much as I'd like to see him keep going and I'd be sad if he retires he'll always have my respect as a hard-nosed forward that was nothing but good for both the wallabies and rugby in general. I'll never forget the snarl he gave to the ABs during the haka in brisbane when we came out and smashed the blacks all over the park to win the tri-nations.

Gee, you people can't keep up.
The McCutch is club captain retaining to off field roles only.
Benn is the current Captain retaining to onfield roles.
It's quite simple.

I'm trying to keep up, wj. Who's the coach?
.

Gaffney is "rugby director" or "director of rugby" depending on what sign is cheaper for his door.

We have a contract with Cheikas name on it but unfortunately not his signature. Option 2 I believe is moving to Newcastle after being rejected.

vickerman will be line out and restart coach and a Tahs community ambassador which he will quit to take o a high paying corporate job within 5 months.

So in answer to your question, Gaffney will be head coach.

WJ I hope this is not the case!!
I wish they would hurry up and announce it!!
This indecision on and off the park doesnt provide confidence - do you know what names are still on the table.

From what I know, Cheika has been offered the role, at least one ouch on the short list is aware they didn't get it. Rumor is of chieka doesn't sign Gaffney gets it.

Without Vickerman, 2011 would have been a much tougher year for the Wallabies.

I for one hope our current crop of locks provide the same longevity that Sharpe and Vickerman have. Both of these guys shined brighter in the latter stages of their ride on the rugby carousel IMO.

Vickerman as head coach of the Tahs?

Though I don't imagine his degree would help him, they aren't very civil in NSW rugby.

Yet again Todd Louden, the best credentialled coach, has been shamefully treated by the Waratahs. Invited to come in for an interview but informed they already had their preferred candidate.
