Came across this in my boredom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Cup_(rugby_union)

A good replacement for the Churchill cup?

Hopefully the Unions & the IRB can get some big corporate support behind this and make it massive.

I'd eat this up on FoxSports, love watching all these 4 nations going around. They should build up the Canada/USA rivalry to Bledisloe like proportions.

Agree, some bloke in the USA with a lot of cash should back the idea. If you think about it, with a little bit of advertising they will have no trouble (theoretically) filling an 80000 seat stadium for the big rivalries. USA and Russia are rivals as well. Japan play an attractive style and they won't be dead beats. With any luck it could get off the ground.

Unfortunately it said proposed start date november 2010 so I'm guessing it hasn't worked to date.

Isn't that referring to the defunct Super Powers Cup that never really got up and running. Pretty sure it was conceived a number of years before the Churchill Cup was first played. Both the US and Canada are supposedly joining the Pacific Nations Cup from next year onward, or so I have heard.
