Aussie science blogger Marc Westius has written a great piece on the effects of sport at altitude. Marc has done a great job compiling the disparate literature around this topic, and has also put together a short audio podcast where he interviews Professor Chris Gore - an expert in the field.
Professor Chris Gore, head of Physiology at the Australian Institute of Sport, has had over 20 years experience in the science of sport at altitude, including the study of the physiological effects of altitude on the body and designing altitude training regimes for athletes.
We're going to put some stats together and write it up for the front page of G&GR just before the Wallabies head to Pretoria, but till then there is some great reading over at Marc's blog.
