G'day Ladies and Gents,

New member here so forgive me if I am regurgitatiing previous views.

So there I was, sat on my couch last Saturday waiting for the "fired up" Wallabies to match the pre-match rhetoric with some hard and fast rugby. You know what I mean...

After the disastrous tour to Sth Africa it was "a learning curve", a "recognition of the steps needed to compete", a "wake up call". But don't worry, because "we have been training the house down". We are now "fully aware of what needs to be done".

When there was a bit of argy bargy between some of the Wallabies during training, it was because they were "keen to make amends", and it was a great sign that "the lads are ready to unleash the aggression".

After the Perth and Sydney test debacles (which I paid good money to attend with flights, accomodation and copious amounts of beer) , it was more of the same. Don't worry everyone, we are "in good shape".

Then Brisbane. Holy cow, we had a win! Then "we had turned the corner". We were "on track to return to winning ways". We had "an eye on 2011". But of course, it was important to "back it up in Wellington or the Brisbane win would count for nothing".

What did we get after Wellington? Did we get any apologies? Did we hear anyone in the Wallabies squad admit they have been speaking crap for the last 8 weeks? No. We got the same drivel we had been hearing since the South Africa tour.

Well, I'm sick of it. Highly paid prima donnas. Do me a favour lads; keep your mouth shut from now on and stop giving us the false perception that you guys really do know what you are doing. Give us a back to back win and maybe I'll start believing again. Until then, you are out of cliches...

Nick Farr-Jones got it exactly right. Read the riot act, Robbie, and show us your intent rather than spewing meaningless talk. Until then, the Gold has a tarnished burr...

Welcome to the forum Daz. Ithink your sentiment is a popular one.

Probably too many similarly themed threads to this one doing the rounds. Maybe one of the Mods can merge it?

Welcome daz, good to have you aboard.

In relation to speccy's comment, I have already today asked two posters to cut back on the new topics. I'll leave this thread here, but please everyone take heed. I have created a new category of poster who is not allowed to start new topics or polls.

Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome, lads.

Sorry about the same-old same-old topic. Normally I would add this to a current thread but since Saturday (or maybe since 2001-ish!) I have been dying to get that rant off my chest...

I was at the RWC in France in 07, the Bledisloe in Hong Kong in 2008 and numerous Tri-Nations tests before and after, and like all of you, I do wonder when the forward movement will begin. I had started to believe the rhetoric from the current admin...my mistake!

Still, as a Reds supporter, I should be used to the pain. Perhaps the Gold jersey means more to us than many of our current crop of "stars". Oh, for the days of Farr-Jones, Kearns, Eales, Horan, Little, etc, etc....
