First paragraph of an article in the Courier Mail today:

"ORGANISERS are likely to give away prized Bledisloe Cup tickets to bolster a poor crowd in Tokyo on Saturday when the Wallabies run out with comeback winger Digby Ioane."

:)

Biffo,

You actually read the Courier Mail? Even self respecting Qlders don't read it!

:) I do, actually. It has, sometimes, some excellent rugby coverage that doesn't appear elsewhere.

Can you give me an alternative site for Qld news and views?

brisbanetimes.com.au

theaustralian.news.com.au is practically a nationally represented paper

There's Mike Colman (his best peices are humourous), Jim Tucker and Oberhardt? or something else? from the Courier Mail for rugby / sport journalism that might be worth reading. Otherwise, steer well clear.

Was up visiting parents in Brisbane recently and they get the Courier Mail everyday. Completely awful. I went out and bought The Australian or SMH for myself, plus some steel wool to rid me of the taint of looking at the Courier Mail.

Finkle is Einhorn...Einhorn is Finkle...Finkle is Einhorn...Einhorn is Finkle...(shudder)

This reminds of one time I was in Brisbane, watching FoxSports. They interviewed a Brisbane Bronco, who was saying: "Yeah, we're really thrilled at how much interest there is in our pre-season training. All the media were there - FoxSports, The Courier Mail, The Australian."

Hee hee.

I'm guessing he doesn't look too closely at his pay slips.
