The idea makes a lot of sense. The problem any coach is going to face is the fact our players are behind their opponent by the time they get to International level. It shouldn't be up to the Wallabies coach to be instilling skills.

More reason for the centralisation of high performance (commercial can be done later IMO). These should be in place by the time they get there.

Another major reason for this is the lack of competition for positions amongst the players. The extra pressure of a guy breathing down your neck makes you improve your skills, get fitter and stronger.

I think we underestimate how critical Eddie is to his players face-to-face - plenty of stories of him being devastatingly personal in his critiques within team rooms. These blokes may well have endured worse from him.

Love the Baabaa's concept but as an Aussie I'll be spewing if Tupou, Bell, Valetini, Ikitau, or Kellaway get a long term injury.

Do we get the impression that part of the agreement with Eddie going is that there will be no negative stuff about him, from what I read of Waugh's staement, he was quite measured (not a critucism) about what he said. Personally I think he must be tempted to say he strung us along etc.

That's correct. It is standard for a Deed of Release in this context to include a non-disparagement clause - neither party can say anything negative about the other.

Plenty of Rugby media especially in the UK are putting the boot into Eddie over RA. Let them do it and we just worry about our own backyard.

Why? Surely we should get the best assistants, who can also be dedicated full-time to their role as Wallabies coaches. No other team in the world makes domestic HCs their national team assistants. Nor have most of them demonstrated the level of detail in their coaching at Super level required for success in Test matches.

Also vice-versa, I'd prefer to see the Super HCs dedicated full time to their roles, rather than split across two demanding jobs.

It's not the worst idea in a RWC year as I think you could benefit from bringing in the best minds in the lead up, but the Wallabies Assistants should be FT specialists in their role.

They should also be out there and offering advice to the Super Rugby HCs on development of players and strategies throughout the season IMO.
