Something a bit light-hearted. Let's say that the nation of G&GR had qualified for the RWC. I wonder what our squad would look like. :)

Fill in the blanks with your position.

MEDIC: Swat
WATER/RUNNER: GC / Lee Grant (with Red Powerade...I think)

I know Scarfy fancies himself at 13 - smashes it up like Tommy Carter but offloads sublimely.
I used to be a 10, 12 and even 11 and 14, with occasional appearance at 15. Always liked 12 the best.
NTA (he'll come back one day!) for 1 or 3 (he can play both sides he tells me). Fatprop the other.
Barbarian is rangy, so I see 4 or 5 against his name, but he might be a bit of a seagull-type lock! ;)
Timmsy looks like a powerhouse 8 kind of guy.
Lee Grant for head coach.

#1 Tah

Chilla Wilson (44)
Might have a go for #22, but I look a bit like Quade in defence.

EDIT: Seems no one is interested in #11. Dont have the hairstyle for it, but I'll have a go ;)

Groucho

Greg Davis (50)
My right ankle is currently in a moon boot after a nasty accident, and I'm (broadly speaking) a winger, so I'd like Drew Mitchell's wing spot please. I don't have an arse tattoo but that can be quickly remedied.

Lock/Flanker/Eight for me. Favoured position was openside, though the club I played at we did left/right, as opposed to open/blind.

Interesting that no-one has offered themselves up as non-official social co-ordinator. In Oldies rugby, that position is usually first filled...

I believe there is no IRB law specifically stating that the water/runner can't consume alcohol during the match. I can verbal the opposition when I run on whilst relaying what I think the coach's instructions should be to the team.

Definitely water/runner.

The empty 9 spot concerns me. Surely there has to be a flashy Hollywood type on these boards somewhere.

GC, the proud nation of G&GR is a bit like a third world country; you don't drink the water. Therefore the G&GR RU specifically prohibits the use of non-alcoholic beverages for the support staff (and any player feeling thirsty) during all matches.

Tap that keg, boyo....

I play 6 currently, but have played plenty of number 8 and lock(under duress) but as a junior member of the forum a bench spot at best would be my fate? May have to pay my dues as gear steward for a few campaigns.

Reddy!

Bob Davidson (42)
I fancy myself as a cheeky winger who gets sin binned occasionally for trying to be harder at the tackle than I really am.
