Playford, Carraro (is he in the roster?), Beau (just don't replace him - not my opinion, but they seem to have decided). I guess the Rat is vulnerable, but geez I'd like to see him made fitter and given a go.
Not sure who else.

I wouldn't think Ratu would go. Huge crowd pulling potential if he's fit - and he's off to Twickers to play for the Baa Baa's so he's no secret.

Carraro
Playford
Batger
David Dennis or Chris Thompson
Jeremy Tilse or Dan Palmer

They can always grab someone from Sydney club rugby if they get injuries...

I'd love to see Beau in red - I reckon he's a good player, and it's a shame the Tahs have brushed him. I'd rather see him start elsewhere.

NOT Palmer :angryfire:. Good young tightheads are priceless in Australia and more valuable elsewhere :).

If the old adage holds (and who doubts it?) Al Baxter is the most important Waratah and Dan Palmer the second most important.

You are probably right about Palmer.. Didn't think about 2 Dads as he was already gone in my mind. If they don't replace him that counts as one and they don't lose any young props...

It's such a short season that you wouldn't think you'd need such depth.. but then you look at the Reds ???

I think we could do without Carter as well but obviously Hickey's a fan - otherwise why would he have him silky skills in the back-line for most of the season??

FP, you have it. Now we have only 23 on the books, whom shall we buy?
Well it shouldn't have been Mitchell for starters! Or Josh Holmes.
Now Giteau and / or O'Connor would have been the goods.

Ginger and red - just imagine the colour clash dahling!

OK, that's enough Matt Goddard.

Fuck, I'd forgotten Fava existed, as has Hickey obviously. Is he still injured?

Actually that's more than enough of Squeaky.
Fava cut himself badly doing that ridiculous beard in round 2 and hasn't stopped haemorrhaging since.

Considering your avatar, Pedallist, could you please attend to him.

Sam Two Dads and Sheehan have gone, and it's rumoured Batger's off os. Tuckie and Freier SHOULD go west, as Beau should go north. Which leaves Carter, Dennis, Fava, Playford and Tilse for the chop. Holmes and Mitchell are joining the Tahs next year. That calculation leaves the Tahs with 24 contracted players next year, plus academics and rookies. A wonderful chance to develop some talented youngsters from Sydney grade ranks.

If Beau was serious about the Reds, he'd be in Brisbane right now turning out for a club side.

As he is not doing that, I have no idea why the Reds would want him, especially as Braid may be around next year due to the ankle injury he picked up.

Young Andrew Shaw may develop well too.

:-\ He is under contract for the Tahs.

How can he play in Brisbane when he is contractually obligated to be available in Sydney?

If your premise was accurate how can the Reds chase Brown, O'Conner etc they weren't in Brisbane right now turning out for a club side.

Brown and O'?onnor are at least Queenslanders, albeit renegade ones.
