I don't know much about the QLD set-up but you'd think looking at that line-up that Sunnybank is a shoe-in for the local comp.

Great to see Kirby as captain.

Sunnybank have a great women's program with Virtue as coach, being rewarded with an assistant role in the Wallaroos.

Rugby.com.au has a score update showing the Tahs are leading QLD 15-0. Last try was at the 53rd minute. I'll be watching the fox replay later at 10pm. Wish this was on now so I could escape watching my Saders copping it from the Canes.

Obviously cant say whether Tahs real good or QLD not so good, etc without actually seeing the game but 15-0 up looks like the Tahs are deserving of their favourites tag.

Update: Penalty kick 74min, NSW 18 QLD 0.

That was pretty comprehensive. The Tahs should have won 40-0, but somehow contrived to stuff it up repeatedly once they got over the tryline.

I don't think the NSW coach will be all that happy as the ball didn't get past 13 all night. NSW just bashed them up in the scrum, then through the forwards and then bashed them in midfield. I would have liked to have seen some finesse in the backline; with so much possession the outside backs should have had a field day.

I got around to watching it on foxtel & have to agree. The comp is new & combos are still being worked out so I can forgive both teams there but NSW definitely blew a number of tries. The 14 for NSW showed some great stuff in attack & defence but she wasnt given enough opportunities. One of the tackles she did near the side line against a larger opponent was text book.

Maybe I'm wrong but I felt the commentary was quite biased toward QLD, henceforth every time NSW got points the funnier it got.

Thread suggestion - could we perhaps turn this from just the round 1 QLD v NSW into the thread for all Super W games? There are only going to be the 5 rounds am I right? Might make sense having it all in the one thread. Here's the next round line-ups (the latest I can find), feel free anyone to move this to a round 2 thread if they are going to be separated.

There will be a live stream on Rugby.com.au
