Good game playing between Reds v Tahs currently..

a few 7s girls playing, interestingly some of the Aussie 7s girls aren’t standing out as you’d expect. Tegan Levi getting shut down well.

Caslick to come off the bench

In saying that, Teagan threw the final pass for both of the Reds tries and had some good touches and runs, just seems to be overplaying her hand a bit trying to force some offloads. Bella Nasser also played well coming off the bench last week so I'd expect her to do the same again today.

yeah very good game - surprised the 7s girls didnt stand out. The quality of our women's teams compared to even 2 years ago is chalk and cheese - just shows that investment pays off.

NSW 10 is very good, definitely makes a difference. Caslick showed what can happen when you have space but the 7's girls are used to having a lot of space and not getting smashed so hard. NSW had some big girls. Also the 7's players don't get much tactical kicking in a game and we saw when Levi let that kick bounce instead of catching it. It's a learning curve as 15's is quite different to 7's - yes they run and pass and tackle, but where and when they do that is different.

I went to the game. Decent crowd (2k I'd say). Bella Mackenzie (NSW 10) needs to stop with the cutout passes. Very poor game awareness. At one stage she ran a loop play (to create the extra attacker) then made a cutout pass which the defender was able to just push onto ffs.

The 7s players feet are so good, but they struggled to get into the game a little. They also didn't like the heavier contact. Levi and Stewart creased each other towards the end of the game.

Plenty of chat directed towards Levi from the Tahs. It was good to see that the 15s players aren't going to lay down when it comes to the 7s players coming in.
