(First, Chifs lose to Wallytahs; then... yeah, nah, not gunna jinx it :))

Well WOB, I suspect you will be most happy by this evening!!! And I got the Canes are guaranteed a finals spot now, so we both happy. I not to worried about Tahs doing Chiefs as it only affects who comes 1st or 2nd in conference not knocking anyone out!

Given that the Canes have to play the Waratahs away after the break, I'm not sure I understand why the Canes are guaranteed a finals spot. Given their capacity to implode, I don't think the Canes are a sure thing at all.

The Tahs will want to avoid Nick Briant as a ref.......

Two straight red cards against the Jaguares for no arms in the ruck...

Palu really needs to work on his technique.

I am thoroughly displeased with how the game was refereed late last night. I can't stand when almost every decision goes upstairs for review, especially when the ref doesn't ask for it. The constant reviews slow the game down and really ruin rugby union viewing for anyone who isn't a regular. For mine referrals should only be used for offside/grounding calls.

^^^^^^ Yeah - I agree.

The first decision to be turned around was a knock on against the Chiefs, so Tahs' scrum feed. Had one of the Tahs not been lying around on the ground looking for a bit of TLC, they would have had the scrum packed before the review took place. I don't want to see a situation occurring where a team that has a decision against them might delay proceedings in the hope that a review might turn the decision around.

Blues have plenty of enthusiasm - but their execution lets them down time and time again.

Hope Dismal Pillock is receiving a live feed. Maybe he can will them home.

Yes, but with the caveat that we still have to beat the Tribe up in Suva to make sure we stay on top: can't see us losing to Rebs & IF we beat Tribe it won't matter if your lot knock us over in the last round.

Still gotta play Wallytahs away so at this point I'd class them (& Clan) as likely qualifiers rather than guaranteed. Just hope it doesn't come down to your guys needing to beat mine to make it!

Well we now know what the Kings need to win a game. The opposition only being allowed 12 players and even then they struggled. If the Sunwolves are a victory for commercialism over maintaining the integrity of Super Rugby then the Kings are the best example of Politics.

Jaguares players need to be examined for cognitive impairment having two players sent off for contact with the Head in the same fashion. Just stupid beyond excuse.

Should have had another off after the penalty try as well. Would have been down to 11

Anyone watch the Stormers Cheetahs game last night? Lood De Jager and Etzebeth got into a fairly heated scrap - not too sure whether it delighted me to see disharmony or terrified me because they're such ferocious bastards. Either way I wish we had some lads like them.

Ramirez Herrera took the guilty plea & got two weeks:

Nothing yet on Lavanini but he's a serial grub so you'd hope he'll be lucky to be back this Super Rugby season. Then again, it's a SANZAAR call so who knows.

At the time I wasn't sure Herrera's offence was a red, for me it was yellow at best. I've seen plenty of cleanouts like that not even rated a penalty. Lavanini's on the other hand was totally justified and he should go for a few.
