During the recent Wallaby of the Decade series there were plenty of hints suggesting a video showing highlights of Stephen Larkham’s career. Well, here it is! After wading through hours and hours of footage of the Wallabies over the 12 seasons from 1996 to 2007, this video shows Larkham in all his glory … those magnificent passes, ghosting runs and glorious kicks … and of course, that Drop Goal!

Awesome video, great work.

I stilll think he is the best back I have ever seen play the game. With the exception of nobody.

I saw both - I think Larkham was better. But not much in it. Had Ella played to age 30 or so, who knows what he would have been? But geez, what I'd give for either!! Or Lynagh?

Thanks Scott.

What a freak. Just a disgusting talent. Made it look easy. Larkhamesque ! Amazing how good his hands and passing game was for a converted outside back.

Did you ever see Mark Ella play, MR? Best back I ever saw play.

Can't say I did. There's been many talented players over the years who have had certain skills better than Larkham, but really only Carter and perhaps Jonny could really rival him on all round games from what I have seen.

Lindommer, what did you think of Bryan Wiliams? I've only seen about 30 minutes of his play (snippets of it, not 30 mins of one match), but I can't honestly think of a better player with ball in hand. He just blew me away.

One of the first big physical wingers in modern rugby. Prior to Bryan wingers were generally skinny fast steppers. Following Williams there was Paddy Batch, Alastair Murdoch, Inga Tuigamala, Caucau and a few other big Fijians and then, of course, Lomu. Jonah was undoubtedly the biggest and best of this lot, including Williams.
