Righto the build up week to the first of three tests. The first one SO important. No matter what Bok team will play but I do feel better now after saw the Lions live on saturday. Some may say its there B team but I think there were a few test candidates in important positions in action like the fatties, a flanker or two, the 10 and wings, just to name a few. Still a team bosting 350 caps in the engine room on paper should destroyed a not even provincial side. That did not happen and on physical terms I think WP did great. But I'll never be arrogant and state on one match the Lions will lose or whatever, its just what I observe live. So they team they will pick, I dont know the players that weel but I do know the Springbokke have quite a few worries, maybe unfounded but still. Our lot should be rusty, we dont have a fecthers, this and that and that all come up for nothing once that kick off come. Then the real Springbok pride kick in and the Springbokke sure have a lot in their favour. Thats the experience factor and the know how to win big matches, so they cant have any excuse. Think the Bok team will look more or less (not the one I would pick)

I love your optimism.

Paarl I think you're close.

I read some reports that Fourie is the front runner at 15 now. Any truth to that rumour or you think its just bullshit.

Why do you think Adi ahead of Fourie?

Are you not worried about the lack of fetcher?

I think I will enjoy my last night of peoper sleep tonight becuase I am starting to feel the nerves. I am a tragic, I know.

Blue I have the same worries then you plus more. My biggest worry is lack of matches and our adoption to the the NH Elvs, like in my other thread. Look I also want Brussouw but Pakslae offer other things. He is such a enforcer with Bakkies come ruck times and maybe a good pick. He also give the pack much needed bulk, something Brussouw dont have. The team I put up is the way they practise last time but I can be wrong.

Brussouw get call up

Brüssow gets Bok call-up
Cheetahs fetcher Heinrich Brüssow has been called up to the Springbok squad as cover for Schalk Burger.

While Bok management have revealed that Burger – who’s battling a calf injury – has a good chance of playing in the opening Test against the British & Irish Lions on Saturday, they’ve decided to call-up Brüssow as a precautionary measure.

Burger hasn’t played in ten weeks, while Brüssow had a field day at the breakdown for the Cheetahs against the tourists, so it might be wise to go with the inform Brüssow for the first of the three Test series.

Springbok coach Peter de Villiers indicated that while Brüssow has been brought in the Cheetahs ace could miss out on the starting line-up.

Danie Rossouw has been rumoured as the likely replacement for Burger’s No 6 jersey and, while the Bulls powerhouse brings a lot to the table, contesting and turning over ball on the deck isn’t one of them.

De Villiers will name his starting line-up for the opening Test on Tuesday.

This mean if Schalkie is ready he should start and Pakslae on the bench, if he is out Pakslae will start and Brussouw on the bench. OK Blue now you can get some rest. :lmao:

Wasnt that far out then. 8) Just show the Bok coaches arent that kak and specially Snor. Compare this to Jake White's regime and they would not have opt to piack a player that close to a important test. I read on sunday in Rapport about Gold rumoured that they may call in Brussouw (Blue thats the right spelling!

Bring on saturday!
