What a way to a grand finale.
First off thanks for the Wallabies for the loss of last weekend. Myself try to write the script but that lost last week did not excist init. I honestly thought we would have won it last weekend. So it was pretty disappointing but like they say in rugby, a week is a long time.
It was the perfect wake up call for the team coming at just the right time. Honestly don’t think there is much difference between the three teams and the hunger or more passionate one will win. Last week it was the Wallabies that outplayed us and put out the marker for what needs to be done to get a win in the best place to achieve it and that’s in NZ.
Add Hamilton and Oom Paarl get even more emotional. I’d never forget that disappointed from 1981 Waikato match that was cancelled.. That one triglle my interest in Waikato and NZ rugby and the reason I will always support the Mooloo men or the Lee name of Tribe.
The first thing when I watch this Bok team do their lap of honour in Waikato Stadium was that hollow feeling I had in 1981. It turn the bitter into the sweetest of sweet and emotional feeling you get as a rugby supporter.
As far as the test go I think its unfair to name specific players because I could see every single one was there to do his job. So spare me maybe four players. First off I feel John Smit deserve every single accolade he can get. He is the leader of the pack and the one to deserve his spot in the team. Well he was so motivated not even a Schalk Burger head clash could stop the man. The two that will be leaving also arise to the situation. Frans Steyn deliver a monster kick and repeat it two times just to make sure it wasn’t luck. I watch him when he plays on Newlands and specially his kicking practises before matches and slot them from far. So myself not surprise by his efforts. Jean sure the intercept king in rugby and his try was the final blow. Then Schalk, myself know he and Brussouw will be hard to beat playing in tandem. He is rusted but he is a player that always gave his all. His tackling is just unbelievable to watch and everytime Nunu wants to cut inside he got slammed by Schalk.
Ok so it was closer then I thought in the end but a 1 point win is a win and that’s the one that matters.
Mission accomplish and a cupboard full of silverware, cant ask for more.
Those critizing Snor or the way the Bokke plays, look at the scoreboard! :yay
