Great season, did the club proud.
1. Mitch Lewis
Stepped up last week with Whiskers Maraki injured and the engine room never missed a beat. Powered up front against a Super 15 front row and will be looking to repeat the performance this week.
2. James Hilterbrand
Cecil left Manly earning a Super 15 Contract with the Western Force, career highlight is packing down against the British Lions – he
plans to top that this weekend with a Marlins Premiership. Workhorse all around the paddock.
3. Jerome Vaai
The Brick up front, arrived mid season and has become a rock in the scrum. Has plenty of huge carries in a game, and when he’s
not putting players into gaps, he’s putting real dents in the ad line.
4. Ryan Melrose
It’ll be back to back for Club Captain Ryan having lead 2nds to the premiership last year. Knows what he wants and never shirks the tough stuff – a leader that is good to have in the trenches with you.
5. Caderyn Neville
First played Marlins rugby 2009 - Wallaby training squad 2012
Tall Timber come back home to grass roots rugby on his way up to the Queensland Reds for 2016
6. Harry Bergelin
Leading try scorer in 2014, and is getting through more work in 2015. One of the best line out thiefs in the comp, many a steal has led to points being scored.
7. Mitch Daniel
Has stepped into the huge shoes of Capt Kotoni Ale, comes with a huge engine and covers plenty of yards.
8. Daniel Alley
DA let’s not damage the knee for the Dance, Grass Roots thoroughbred has been eyeing this off for a while.
9. Matt Lucas (c)
Marlins Captain and leads by example. Many a coach would have him as the MVP in the comp.
Any young boy wanting to learn how to tackle, watch Matty. Tahs need Matty on their books.
10. Sam Lane
There is Shute success in his veins, one of Marlins best this year – and forms a very potent halves pairing that has allowed the outside backs to shine.
11. Alex Northam
Aptly given to try scoring speed machine Zip, he’s been bagging a few meat pies of late, and
shutting down attacking raid with his speed. Definitely destined for higher honours.
12. Reece Hodge
With legs like tree trunks he’s kicking goals from 75 metres out, or grassing the ball carrier to turn defence into attack. Big career ahead for this Rookie – one to watch.
13. Dennis Pili-Gaitau
“Danger” that comes with 3 names, will pop up anywhere on the park and convert the opportunuity, Da Man thrives on the big stage having recently shut down Wallaby Kurtley Beale
14. Richard Hooper
The Hooper boys are both eyeing off a prize this Saturday – Chard’s want the Shute, and Hoooooops wants the Bledisloe this weekend – let’s get them both up on stage.
15. Brenden Hartmann
It’s BJ time, last 2 years he’s been hidden – and is now showing his class on the big stage and is thriving on it. Another grass roots thoroughbred and will no doubt let it rip on Saturday.
· Dane Maraki.
Daddy Whiskers Maraki is a mobile loose head prop, he's carved it up all season so he could make the Big Show for his new daughter Tilly. The time has come. . . .
· Vance Elliott.
Mobile Kiwi hooker that has spent plenty of time in the ones engine room and not been out of place. His mobility and leg drive will be dangerous late in the game.
· Andrew Collins
The Tank was been a powerhouse this year, whilst not away wrestling bores Marlins is his home. Sharkies won’t get the tittle this year Tank, all eyes on the Shute.
· Ed Gower
Daddy look how big that mans legs are. The’s horse is back, he’s fresh, and no doubt wanting looking for some fun on the weekend, giddy up Ed.
· Dylan Sigg
He’s retired, this is a typo.
· Ethan Uili
Another Rookie in his first year out of colts, he has un finished business from 2013, and has made huge impact at the breakdown whenever he has come of the bench.
· Tim Donlan.
One of the most dangerous halves in the comp, nice luxury to have Tim’s talent sitting on the bench – one the Marlin boys now and an inspirational leader in the way he plays the game. Rays 9.
· Shaun Treweek.
Mr Utility 1 can step up and play 10, 12, and 15 very valuable player to have at hand. Legend with the kids, Jets fan club will be out there cheering him on.
· Jacob Woodhouse.
Mr Utility 2 great cover for the outside backs and has gained valuable experience overseas in the recent years.
· Chris Yarrington.
Yaz has spent plenty of time in ones this year and would fit straight back in without any interruption - serious gas and bagged a number of meat pies this year.
