I think it needs to be a much more detailed proposal before we look at shifting. The inbound tours would probably need to move a month later to August for example, and I'm not sure the north would agree to that. Would give them some clear air between the end of their club comps and the tour though.

I'd also want to see any move like that used as an opportunity to include Japan and Fiji (which would make it a bit easier to fit in, taking the comp from 6 games down to 5).

I can't see an issue, but I don't think the Europeans would be up for six nations rugby in August and September?

Nah this is dumb.

If we play in summer, WR (World Rugby) stipulates we need to have additional water breaks. Meaning, on top of the crap the Saffers already do to slow the game down, we will have at least 2 additional breaks ontop of the half time break.

I've had the pleasure of sitting in the East stand at Suncorp in February watching rugby in the afternoon. It is horrible.

Any European who wants to advocate for this needs to turn up in our summer and sit through a game.

I also like the 12 month calendar of rugby. 6N on right now is enough for me to focus on, I don't need TRC and 6N at the same time.

No idea what the answer is, it certainly isn't TRC in Feb/March, but surely the South Africans can't just keep playing year round?
