hmm, seems to have gone under the radar, I think because his late addition to the squad, but he only needs 5 more tries to become the highest tryscorer in S12/14 history.

Unfortunately the chances of the Force scoring 5 tries themselves this year, seem remote.

Still, a decent effort:

Doug Howlett 59
Joe Roff 57
Christian Cullen 56
Caleb Ralph 56
Scott Staniforth 55

The chances of the Force ever scoring 5 tries again seems remote.

But well done Scotty - sad was I the day the idiots at NSWRU let you go.

Any chance of him scoring a contract for next year with the Rebels now that his Japanese club is kaput? Still has some legs left in him as he kept up with Ioane on Sunday.

He still has some good pace. He very nearly chased down a full-stretch Ioane (I think it was) on the wing. Not bad for an old fella.

Yeh he definitely wasnt the worst player on the field, but he seems average. Dont think he'd make the starting squad for any other aussie franchise though. Definitely has another season or two in him. Hope he breaks the record.

and the game before (?) he went close to catching Masanga.

I think he looks outstanding in the Force backline - particularly in terms of his general energy and determination (not quiet capitulation for him)

Isn't he on a one month contract with the Force? I don't think he can get 5 tries in 2 games. Would be great if he did though.

Id like to see Stanifoth moved to the centres for the Force, and signed on for the rest of the year.
And he would make it in the centres certainly for the Tahs - consider that Tom Carter gets a run there.

Ioane isn't fast, he has good acceleration because of all the power he has, but over a longer distance he really isn't that quick. He might beat Staniforth over the first 10m or so, but anything longer and I think Staniforth would have him and I must say Ioane has the my inefficient running style I have ever seen.

I find that pretty amazing. I didn't even think Staniforth has played that many years of Super rugby. It would be good to see a comparison with those players: number of games vs tries

And for those saying he nearly chased down Ioane...well Ioane isn't actually very fast, and would be one of the slower wingers in the competition. It's his foot work, stepping, tackle busting, attitude and line running qualities that make him special.

Agreed, although I don't think his running style is that bad...see Quade Cooper for a retarded running style.

Quade's running style is a lot more efficient, when digby runs everything is moving and he's all tightened up, which as any sprinter knows is very counter productive to running fast.

I'd sign him if I was at the Rebels. Not a winger though. 12 or 13.

Spot on Noddy. Still a very good player and would contribute to the culture Macqueen wants.

Ahh I see what you mean. Quade has a very natural running style, which is why he isn't as tense...but it isn't textbook and he looks goofy as hahah

"Then off to the Australian dressing-room, where the chant reverberated around the concrete walls as the trophy, awash with champagne, was passed from player to player: "Matthew Burke, world champion; BEN TUNE, world champion; Daniel Herbert, world champion", and on and on and on......The excellent Wallaby coaching staff of Rod Macqueen, Jeff Miller and Tim Lane, realising the game was won after winger Ben Tune scored in the 63rd minute, allowed every member of the seven-man reserves bench a run on the field so they could savour the experience. It proved the Wallabies are a 22-man team and not a starting XV plus fill-ins..."

I know this is heaps dodgy because I can't remember where the quote came from... Wasn't Staniforth on the bench?
