Cheetahs first start against top-line opposition outside SA. This game I suggest will lay down a marker as to how well the Cheetahs have progressed since last year.

Huge ask, up against a Crusaders side coming off the bye having lost their last 2 games, first game in Christchurch in what 18 months? Carter returning and Crusaders looking to avenge their loss last year. Good luck Cheetahs you'll need it.

Very confident my guys will get up in this one. Really looking forward to seeing Carter back out there. However, given the Saders slow starts & the Cheetahs strong starts I wouldnt rule out the Cheetahs going over for the 1st try but in the end I expect the Saders to win by a fair margin.

I guess we can conclude they have come a long way. I have to say I really enjoy watching their games.

That was a cracker of a match. Not sure why Goosen kicked the ball away at the end though, maybe he had had enough?

Is that ground going to be their long term home or does Christchurch plan on restoring AMI?

Good to see the Saders back at home. Good morale boost for the city also.

The word at the mo Ruggo is that it will be the long term home as they just don't know yet if Ami will be able to be restored. I've tried to look for answers about Ami but it seems there's still a lot of assessments & such still going on even now.

Didn't get to see the game as I was out but good showing by the Cheetahs by the way. I knew they'd improved but I thought the Saders would have won by a much bigger margin - so credit to the Cheetahs. Still not concerned at this stage, I believe my team is still getting themselves together, was good that Carter got a run. Hoping McCaw is not too far behind.

The penalty kick out was on Naka's instructions. Tin Ears surprise me no end and a gutsy performance from them. They are back to the age old Vrystaat patron of running rugby. Goosen again pass a BIG test and closing in on the green and gold jersey. Morne ahead of him but he sure as hell must at least be in the squad if he keep on performing. Tin Ears much better then their place on the log and good times for them just around the corner.

Yeah, it would be good to see them do well. If nothing else, every time I watch them play I can be guaranteed of an entertaining match.

Do you reckon they will give Goosen a look in this year? How old is the lad?
