Not every RWC match will have its own match thread, this is for people to post pre-match news, pre- & post-match views, etc etc.

Kane Thompson, sent off in the Samoa v Barbarians match, has been banned for one match & will therefore miss Samoa's cup,opener v USA.

With so many of the games happening in the middle of the night, and many folk possibly watching the games via IQ recordings. it may be worthy of reminding folk about the rules for posting in a Match Thread, and having that as a sticky post at the top of each page.

Rule 1 may need to be amended to read "until at least 24 hours after the game has finished". The "rounds" of RWC are spread out over too many days for this to be enforced or practical.

2. Do not discuss other matches in detail.
3. Good hearted banter is encouraged but trolling is not allowed.
4. Be respectful to posters, players, coaches and match officials.
