NO I am not the one kiwi bashing here and I did listen to ALL THE INTERVIEWS and watched the game totally uninteruptedTWICE.

The tradition of the Captain and the Coach paying respect to the opposition was not respected.
simple.
Actually by either team, but I think everyone was so stuffed they never remembered. I agree they probably should of but I still think it a matter of finding things to moan about.

I still think they choked big time, only luck and the home ground advantage got them through. They'll never win it off home soil! 24 more years boys! :fishing

Dan54 I and others noticed it and think at this level it is poor form. Don't be so uptight you farking won, let it go.
The winning team coach and captain should always give the loosers a little pat on the back.
You farking won, just enjoy it.

I am a bloody long suffering Wallaby fan do you really think I need to look for things to moan about.

As if it is not bad enough that my team didn't play well enough to deserve to make it past the QF I now have all my kiwi 'friends' taking great joy in rubbing it right in.
So if you can't except that some of us are not jumping up and down with you, just leave us alone, I left your lot alone in 2003.

fanatic you obviouslt didn't listen to Read and Donald's inerview, but hey don't let the truth get in the way of a bit of kiwi bashing huh???:)

I honsetly didn't hear it but don't doubt you for one moment. Reid strikes me as a good bloke and a good sport. I have a lot of respect for him. Donald should be feeling a huge degree of self satisfaction as he has copped a lot of shit from both sides of the ditch in a very unsporty manner. For him to not tell everyone to get that up ya which he would be within his rights to do shows the bloke has a great deal of class.

One bloke I am very happy for is Brad Thorn. I think back to his comments after the Super Rugby final and think its great for the bloke to come out on the winners side after being so gracious in defeat not to mention his years of hard and clean service on the rugby paddock.

The did not choke, they won.
I have no doubt that the ABs will work very hard and defend their title in England, and that they can do so.
I also have no doubt that until our mob get their shit together they could spend the next four years kicking our arses on any ground.

It was a great game. It was clear in the first 10 minutes that the coin had come down heads and France had really turned up with intent and a plan. The All Blacks really had to earn it, and hats off to them. They were able to keep their composure against a French side playing amazing rugby.

That frog back row was awesome!

McCaw was everywhere - literally. He had to combat that french back row.

Tacklers not releasing, lying all over the ball tackled player, falling on the wrong side of the ruck and using the tackled player to support their weight while horizontal and tying up the ball have been consistently inconsistently refereed all year so it's no surprise we saw that last night.

I wonder if referees should automatically have to rule on the tackler releasing before penalising the tackled player for not releasing the ball?

Fair enough Fanatic, but I will add what is also was different, when the usual compliments of losing team is done is at the presentation of cup when captain makes winning speech, did anyone notice it was not done like that this time? Not making excuse etc , but now I think of it usually when handing over cup the captain makes short speech and just wondering why wasn't same this time. Like I said this is usual time for captains of teams to recognise opponents etc.

Probably celebrated early and taking a breather there before diving back in...

Too right I needed a breather, was at a bar from 5pm having beers and enjoying the atmosphere. Swore so much during the game that I just about passed out from lack of oxygen =P. Taught the Girlfriend proper lineout lifting technique when the final whistle blew!

The atmosphere both before and after the game was amazing, 200,000 people all your best mate. There were a surprising number of ozzie jerseys out and about, and thank f***ing god no one was giving them shit, got so over that.

To all the fine gentlemen complaining about cheating in the ruck, you have Pocock now.....he is an amazing athlete with all the vision of McCaw. I think you'll find the situation reversed in the coming years when Aus have a few tight wins over the ABs....all I will say is enjoy it.

yeah, they choked and won. A scary new development for the AB's.

What poor comments coming on this site I suppose its because the Wannabes lost! No need to vent your anger or sour grapes against the ABs! The ABs deserved to win!

It sure was a tight one one,but scrape home we did. I still say that the AB's played their final last week against Australia.

Any...way.

Big congratulations to the All Blacks and to their supporters. I tip my hat to the relatively silent majority who don't revel in the injuries, misfortune and mistakes of other teams but celebrate the beautiful game played well.

Did anyone notice, at one stage the AB's kicked to deep and went into the french try line area. Richie McCaw took chased but was 2nd to the ball... as the French try to run back to the 22 quickly, McCaw stuck his hand out to trip him.. This whats irritates me about him...

France made that World Cup grand final.... I didn't think that France deserved to be in the GF and the Blacks would put on at least 20......But they proved me and scared the shit out of a country.... France didn't win but to me they did, they rattled the Blacks and showed the rest of the world how to do it. And Advanced on the Haka which was great,

To the AB's, they have been the Number 1 team in the world for quit some time, and now finally have something to prove they really are, even if it only for another 4 years.... It seems that you can only win in your home country and you still nearly choke, but you got away with a win. And a wins a wins I guess..

Its along time until the World cup is back in NZ... By that time the Wallabies will have a few titles and I reckon Namibia will have one to..;)

All the best defending the right to be the best... I can' t wait until we meet again.
