I've taken an interest in Grassroots rugby of late and I'm trying to piece together the number of rugby develoment officers and what areas they cover.

I have only managed to find a list of the QLD development officers
http://www.redsrugby.com.au/GrassrootsRugby/DevelopmentOfficers.aspx

Does anyone know where I could locate that information for the other states/territories?

I know that NSW now comes under the ARU banner but I have been unable to dig up anything on their site. For interest the job description for an ARU development officer in Northern Sydney is:
They will be responsible for delivering education activities for community coaches, referees and administration to ensure the Rugby environment is safe, enjoyable and facilitates participation.
Responsibilities include:
·Implementation of activities and programs to support the growth of Rugby at grass roots level.
·Manage interactions with Affiliates, Junior Clubs and Schools.
·Maintain and improve existing Rugby programs in designated area.
·Facilitate the recruitment process from Schools to Junior Clubs
Required skills:
·Experience and ability to maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders – i.e. volunteers, coaches & school principals.
·Working knowledge of Community Rugby standards, expectations & opportunities.
·Appropriate tertiary qualifications or relevant experience.
·Accreditation in coaching (Rugby Level 2 preferred).
·Experience in sport particularly at the grass roots level.
·Previous volunteer experience in junior/local sporting organisation.
·Senior First Aid

SEAN BARRETT Development Manager, Illawarra Region

Sean does a great job down in the Illawarra and has been in that role for a while now.

ADAM CRANE Development Manager, Sydney South/East & Inner West

Craney is a great fella, spent some time with RugbyWA from memory as well as the ARU's Rugby Road Train to tie in with the RWC2003. He is a really good contact if you get to know him.

JOHN SEARL Senior Development Manager
Searly has been in that role for a while now too, although i think it used to be more ARU based. From memory he has strong links with Easts?

Brilliant guys, thanks.

Is there a different between a development officer and a development Manager?

The Development Manager will be the DO's Boss. They will be in charge of the strategic goals of the ARU and Super Rugby Franchise/State Union.
