I'm a big fan of Mooney but I don't know why he has shifted MMM & dropped Higgers to the bench, I don't like MMM at 6 he's been better at lock and Higgers has probably been one of if not our best forward all year.

I'll be gutted if I see MMM getting turned inside out by one of the Lions backs this weekend.

Hmmm. Interesting. I am not surprised really. I don't think Higgers was as good as many are proclaiming he was last week. A few late runs, but I thought he was loose early on. Byrnes will tighten things up for us. MMM has been awesome before at 6, although average earlier this year. I guess its a tightening/manning up thing for the Reds pack against an confrontational Lions pack.

What has Dayna Edwards done all of a sudden? He's really on the outer now it seems.

A bit tough on McKibbin, but expected with both 9's coming back from suspension and injury.

Houston seemed useful coming on with 20 mins to go: unfortunately that is probably his best role at present, as bench sub supreme, especially as Higginbotham can cover 8 and MMM and Taylor can cover the second row.

What happens if Braid gets an injury though? Sore Finger? I'd love to throw Digby in there, actually, and bring on Fetoia at 13.

I will say that the Reds have been lucky with in-game injuries for the most part this year.

You're right he wasn't brilliant for 80 minutes & he should have made that tackle before the try when Braid was blocked but he did try is best to make up for that late on with a couple of good breaks.

Use the Reds or S14 logo slacker!

Don't know why Kennedy is ahead of Edwards on the bench. Doesn't make sense to me. Kennedy has stunk at scrum time the last few games where he has gotten on the field - well, I thought so anyway. Looks a promising lump of a kid maybe, but right now, not good enough.

Edwards was playing for the QAS side so I don't think he is injured.

Madness showed last week that he is a good lock but a shit flanker, when they took off Taylor and Higgers the Reds started losing ball at the breakdown - most telling was Leroy's bust from 35 mtr out and then the ball was turned over at the ruck.

Bryne - he is pretty ill-disciplined and a ripe candidate for baiting it seems

Juan that was the call on Byrne pre-season but he hasn't let us down when it has counted this year. In fact he was bloody good in our win v the Sharks.

He did get into another minor scrap agianst one of the Clan last weekend, he got the penalty but it was one of those 50/50 calls.

He was pretty good against the Shorks so maybe he is a Jappie specialist?

The Lions don't seem to be that bad of a team, could be a tough one for our lads....

How long does Big Kev get to re-establish himself before people like me start asking questions?

I thought Horwill was rusty against the Force but improved a lot against the Clan.

For such a tall bastard he's great at getting to his feet and competing for the ball after making a tackle and I'm sure I remember one turnover of FK penalty last week?

Dunno gagg, what questions are you asking?

"Where's the ball running marauder from last year?"

I realise this maybe tantamount to heresy in the sunshine state

As long as he is doing tight work well, I dont mind if it takes him a few weeks to become the ball running marauder again. Not many players hit form straightaway even in club rugby. He is expected to be one of the best players for the Reds, give him a few weeks. Maybe he just needs someone to belt him.

I thought he was one of our best players against the clan last weekend, I'm just waiting for him & MMM to start domintaing like at Christchurch 2007 when both players just ran amok before MMM got injured.
