Thought I would get the ball rolling on this one with some information:

Silver has just gone 'Single seats only' on ticketek and there is still 8 days until this game begins. Mark my words, provided that's info from ticketek is correct, there will be 50000 people on hand for this game.

Force will be reeling from their loss to the Brumbies.

Reds will be on a high after beating the Tahs by 50+

Will davis be back

Also, I've had to include a poll because it's there and won't let me delete it. Probably a bug on Safari (mac). Therefore ive made the poll options Will the Reds win by 50 or mercy rule. Cheers

2 years ago we did beat them handsomely in Brisbane, but last year was desperately close to an upset Western win.

I'd be happy if the Reds got over 35,000 to this match, regardless of last year's title win, so if it's heading to a sellout you beauty!

I agree Sully. Though it must be a big worry for the Force that there backrow couldn't do much last night. Reds could really run over them and somehow they will manage to score less tries than last year.

I think the addition of Brown and Wykes will add something for the Force. And perhaps we will find out where Pat Dellitt is at. No one seems to know why he wasn't in the squad for the first game?

Patty I think has a bruised shin saw a pic didn't look nice but he was don't to play for the Force A yesterday haven't seen a match report yet but would think he is not to far away.

similar to first round of 2011 i expect the Force backrow to apply enough pressure at the breakdown to minimise the Reds backline attacking ability. The Waratahs managed it and they arguably have a backrow with a lower workrate then that of the Force.

However, i think defensively the Force backline is still adjusting and we should see the Reds inside backs find a few gaps through there.

I suspect that Link will change a number of players around.
Anyone with the slightest niggle will probably be rested with the exception of the halves.
The Force forward pack is mobile rather than big (Waratahs), so there could be a change to the Reds loose forwards run on side; Robinson, Gill & Higgers at 8 maybe.

Don't really like the survey to be honest. The Force have a pretty strong forward pack. It was their first game on the weekend as well. I'm sure they are looking to improve as well.

Plus, I'd much rather approach the game (and every other game) with some humility - if for no other reason than to cut down on potential future slices of humble pie. Support is one thing, but over-confidence is never pretty.

Personally I'd rather let results speak for themselves - either way. But maybe that's just me.

Guys, please read the first post. I'd like to clarify that the only reason the poll is there is because of a bug on my mac that said i had to have a poll. It's meant to be a joke.

Anyway in regards also to my comment on the attendance, it looks like it was a bug after all and silver is still available - bloody ticketek.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a big crowd on the weekend. I was at a part on Saturday night and I think everyone there was talking up going this week. Nothing like a close win to get people excited.

Spikhaza's explanation notwithstanding, can a Mod get rid of the poll at the top of this page?

Hard to have a decent discussion about the game with such a frivolous (and I know, in jest) poll topic headlining the page.

Apparently Hanson is in doubt for the weekend and Anae may be converted to hooker for the Reds...

Force set piece might get on top if that's the case...
