This is such a classic schoolboy highlights video, big fast guy beats up regular sized kids
I rate him highly, very good back end of the season for the Storm. I’m interested to see how Thorn gets them all out on the park.Difference is he's a big fast guy against men too
I agree. I’m not sure if it’s a carry over from League where wingers themselves are always keen to move to fullback where they’ll get paid more.I think we are sometimes a bit over keen to move our best wingers.
Guys like Campo, Tune, Jonah, Roff & Habana played the vast majority of their game on the wing and are recognised as some of the games best. Campo, Jonah & Habana are legend status.
I get that some of this is played driven - the players themselves see themselves as being suited elsewhere. But, IMO, premium wingers are worth their weight in gold.
I’d never normally say that out loud of course and, if challenged I’ll claim I was hacked, but I’m looking forward to seeing Daugunu & Vunivalu in partnership on the wings - hopefully for the next 5 years at least.

Agree but it doesn't mean they do it. Koroibete is actually the best in years. That guy is everywhere. But that hasn’t really been a problem for top level wingers for some time. Generally they are most likely to get a roving commission and be allowed to attack across the field.
Misnomer. Ioane would touch the ball a maximum of 10 time per game max. Daugunu/Koroibete touch it well more than that.all future reds wingers should be forced to watch the 2011 "Short inside ball to Digby" highlights package for tips on injecting oneself.
I think Reds should look at some guys like Mack Mason and Shambeckler Vui for 2021, both players are Queenslanders and have loads of potential in their positions in which the reds are short, just haven’t had the right opportunities. Should come reasonably cheap as well given salary cap restrictions.
^ Tane was the NSW 1 starting 10 in 2018 at the national schools comp.
He unfortunately had Carter Gordon and Reesjan Pasitoa in front of him that year for Aussie Schoolboys , but he can definitely play.
Yes and sadly none at the Reds .......That’s a bloody decent crop of 10’s for one age group
Mack Mason would be primo. There’s a lot to like about his game being a classic flyhalf. Thorns style of coaching would be right up his ally. Unfortunately the Waratahs didn’t know his value and was held back.I think Reds should look at some guys like Mack Mason and Shambeckler Vui for 2021, both players are Queenslanders and have loads of potential in their positions in which the reds are short, just haven’t had the right opportunities.
