Would assume every fit player will be seeing some game time a week before the season. Looking forward to seeing some of the combinations in action.

I think i'll ride over on the pushy after work. Great initiative to have the trials at suburban grounds and in the regions (as in previous years).

Keep the club as 'family' as possible.

Hope to see the young fellas push the incumbents. Placid, Veainu, Reid, Cummins and PAE.

Even more importantly, I hope the club BBQ is firing and doling out dirty snags and burgers.

Hoping to get there, although I'll be pushing it to get to the dark side of town from the Glorious West after work for 6:30pm!

It's also right next to Holmesglen station on the Glen Waverley line.
I'm driving down from Sydney on that day, but 6:30pm might be pushing it..

Since I live 5min walk from 'Quins (adjacent to the bike track Tex mentioned) I think it would be poor form if I didn't attend. Might even have rug rats future rebels attached to me...

Word from the Wise: The Glen Waverley line (attached to Homesglen Station) can be terrible at times so you may consider the Alamein line. A longer walk (15 all up), but a far quieter Train.

Looking forward to seeing the boys in action for the first time this year. Combos wise I'm hoping that we try a few different things, after all it's just a trial match. Would like to see:
  • Mikey Mike tried accross 10, 12 and 15
  • Jordy given a run on the side of the scrum. We know what the other flankers can do, want to see more of him.
  • Jones at 8, or 6.
  • Big Red and Cummins in the second row with Caydern.
  • Mixing up the Hooker combination with the 'possibles' and 'probables' Props. Probably even extending that too withe Locks; I'm keen to see a bloody good tight five combination this year, but we need some resiliency there too.
Other than that, I would like some good ol' entertainment.

Well, yes, I suppose the rugby is the main thing, but since @Tex started talking about dirty snags on the BBQ, I'm kinda fixated on that. And beer.

At least they are civil enough to serve full-strength beer down there.

Would prefer the Box Hill Burger.

Are you talking about the one thy serve up at the club, or that wonderful creation serve at 'box hill burgers' up on Whitehorse road. I have ended many a big night in that shop devouring one of those godly creations.

The one at the club

Yep they are good too. Was a while ago since I had one, but I don't remember ever hating the food I ate there.

But, if you're ever eastside after a few Beers I'd recommend a feed at Box Hill Burgers. Usual assortment of Burgers, Lamb Sandwiches and anything else they can throw into the deep fryer. I know anything at 3am after Lager frenzy tastes good, but I've even eaten there sober and it was still good.

Fairly safe starting lineup, what you might expect for a starting Rebels match. Like I said before I'd like them to mix it up a little more. Don't think I've known Dom to be a OC, would look to start super Sefa there. Surprised about Tom Sexton not playing, guess you gotta give the new go a run.
