I can't seem to find the results of the 2011 Queensland Sports Awards to be held tonight. Maybe it hasn't finished yet (Paul Lucas must have brought ALOT of beer if that's the case), alternatively, someone could know here already as to what happened. I thought I would open this up as a discussion point anyway.

According to the Reds facebook page they are nominated for four awards:

Ewen McKenzie – Sports Coach; Jim Carmichael – Sports Administrator; St.George Queensland Reds – Sports Team; and Super Rugby Final – Sports Event. Good luck to all the nominees!

We should definately snag Sports Administrator, It's between Ewen and Ange for coach, we will probably get team but I doubt we will get the Event.

Bloody hell, Qld will do well to match that year in sport going forward. Look who missed out: Firebirds, Sally Pearson, Jason Day........

Yeah feel a bit for the Firebirds, no recognition for a unbeaten season. Hopefully the can get one over the Reds when they play each other in beach volleyball soon.
