Oh I don't agree - that's pretty much the reason why the vote here lost though....

(Probably says something about putting a vote on a perfectly reasonable change to the people....)
It's not even close to "pretty much the reason" but I won't go into the semantics of it all. But being an outside worker I'm bloody glad we don't go in for the clock fiddling business.

Every single year during daylight savings living in QLD having to explain to our friends in the other eastern states that we are on AEST not them. Conversation always ends up with you know what I mean 'NSW' or 'Sydney' time.

In what way? as a city work I much prefer 6:30 over 7:00.

unless of course you have a job which keeps you there till 6pm on a Friday night, then there’s bigger issues at hand
Because it's easier for a city worker to get to a 6:30 game.
All us plebs who work in all corners of greater Brisbane and beyond, have to return home to get ready then go through public transport at peak hours on a Friday afternoon rush. It's hell.
Then try and throw some kids into the mix. Bah, easier to watch on the tv.

Westpac seems to have disappeared from the Reds training kit (from the photos I’ve seen anyway). Has that sponsorship been lost?
