Sorry, my Souths source tells me this is true. Was a spiteful AGM and the candidates from the Crowley ticket were all elected except for one, although Crowley himself had withdrawn his own nomination for president.
Please check your source, he/they are incorrect. Best way to solve this is name Crowley's candidates who were apparently elected on the board as requested by Frank Row earlier? That should answer the question.

Just saw this post online from Kent Bray,
seems Phil Mooney is going North..

Every now and again a diamond just drops into your lap. And that’s the case with Norths rugby club in Brisbane.

I was contacted by an excited Norths supporter to say that the club had secured the services of Phil Mooney as Director of Rugby for the upcoming season.

His words were that Wests had dropped the ball on this one, and they moved swiftly to secure Phil.

Phil was relieved of his duties as DoR at Wests at season end. A season which saw the club win the club championship for the first time in a number of years, and the team he coached Colts 1, win the GF.

A life long Wests man from boy to man occupying just about every position at the club, Phil is a legend of the club. He IS Wests. Why was he removed from the club ? No idea. The Board had been silent.

In any event, life moves on. This is just another opportunity for Phil, another challenge. I have no doubt that he will thrive in the new environment. Maybe a completely blank canvas is just what he needs.

I am absolutely certain that the Wests Board have no idea of the size of the intellectual property that has left the building.

I wish Moon well. He is an absolute champion bloke. I have absolutely no doubt that he will be successful.

I am very happy he is in a place where is valued and respected.

That’s the very least he deserves.

Rod Macqueen and Bob Dwyer could be coaching North’s and they would still struggle to finish higher than 7th.
