LBPs - 6 (x1pts)
TBPs - 3 (x1pts)
Total of 40 odd points.
Judging on last year that should put them just outside finals. (42 points being the cut off from last year with one less game or 4 points.)
Maybe they have an upset against someone like the Brumbies or Hurricanes (Highlanders are ripe too) finals is possible. But they look like they have a front loaded season so if they get onto a roll say putting in a good effort against the Brumbies in Round 3, that could easily have a flow on effect to the Jaguars and Stormers in Round 4 & 5. I feel like the Home Ground advantage will be really important for the Reds I think there is a quite hope in Brisbane (as opposed to last season where there was a loud hope). Playing the likely disjointed Rebels round 2 should be a boon. I don't anticipate the Lions playing very well after losing their head coach.
