9-9 at half time and the Poms are looking bloody awful. They got booed by the crowd when they went in for oranges.

They're too frightened to play any rugby but that only works if you're kicking game is good and it hasn't been. Even Wilko is having trouble kicking from hand - but otherwise he's playing like a real pro.

Fullback Monye is having a shocker at fullback.

Argentina has been the best team and would be in front if they got some kickable penalties. They've got some amateurs in their team too.

74 min Arg near Pom posts but Argies penalised for holding on.

78 min Arg LO on Pom 5M line but knock on after maul

80 min Another LO on Pom line; maul - unplayable. Game over.

Poms get away with win 16-9. Argentina not enough class and composure in key moments.

Moody MOM - was one of their best last week too.


Horrible game except last 10 minutes. Argentina would be happier with loss than England with the win.

It's as clear as day that the poms have no clue what they are trying to do on the paddock. Players look at each other like no-ones actually discussed any sort of game plan. Is it tight? Is it wide? It's neither.

A great example was when, with good phase ball on the Argies 30m, Haskell the second reciever cuts out the the tight head prop with a pass to the back of the hooker's head, as they drift across field pushing the actual 'backline' into touch.

The scuttlebut is that the assistant coaches are at loggerheads and Johnson's too green to sort it. From this game, the rumours look on the money.

I had convinced myself that the poms had reached their limit in boring me, but that was their best bore effort ever. Soporific in the extreme. The poms give boring by props a very bad name.
