OK, I've PMed a few people and it hasn't worked.

Here is the rule: keep provincialism and nationalism to an absolute minimum. There's been a few posts flying about which characterise what "all Aussies," "all Kiwis" or "all Saffers" are like. Anyone with half a brain knows that this is the fastest route to forum hell, so cut it out.

Consider yourself (yes, you) on the wrong end of a stern Goddard-like warning. Talk to your players, next time we're going to cards.

I agree with what you write and intend to abide. However, I would like you to recall the Croft-Waugh wars, in the last of which the two went at it pretty hard and the referee eventually called them out and told them to calm it down. They both responded that they were having a lot of fun and not interfering with anyone else, so why shouldn't they be allowed to continue? I am with them in that thought - on and off the rugby field.

... and Mainlander, I am referring that comment of yours to the Moderators :)

:lmao: :lmao:

Trouble though Biffo is that two guys having a bit of fun having a go at each other can soon grow into a few more as others come in, take sides and use both barrels without knowing everyone else's opinion is very tongue in cheek.

This forum has a nice balance (so far) while others around the place are all on and everything goes or over moderated.

I wasn't one of the offenders scarffy PMed but will still take his request on board and try and be careful about any generalisations I do because he's right.

Point taken. However (again) the man who causes the most trouble is he who joins in to a punch-up between two blokes. IIRC the AFL has a rule that the third man is gets the highest penalty. Good thinking.

Outstanding development - looks like my 'most one eyed poster' status is under threat !

Yes. I agree. There should be no patriotic references hidden or otherwise.

Hopefully somewhere in this sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains we might find a winning 2009 Tri Nations team.

Maybe even catch that colt called Bill from old regret that has got away. Whilst on a rural note there seems to be a missing jumbuck down by the Billabong.

But back on rugby.. Should Eales and or Bernie go down in history as the best players ever to play the game ?

Perhaps Horan or Ella. Maybe Gould ?
