Has anyone kept up to date with any of the players from last years U20 WC? I would be interested to know if any of them are likely to make their debut in the Super 15 this year... I am particularly interested in the front row who were apparently immense...

Jones, Peterson, Fainga'a, Gill, Quirk, Schatz, White, Coleman, To'omua, Morahan, Sitauti and Toua would be the one’s to watch out for most likely to get a run at some stage in this years Super 15 from last years U20s team (some have already debuted). Hooper was in the original squad but ruled out from injury and should also get some game time this year. All of the front row will be back for this years JWC I’m pretty sure.

Cruze Ah-Nau and Paul Alo-Emile are two of the three starters. Don't know who the other one was.
Scott Sio... he's #16 for the Waratahs trial vs Fiji tonight

What about Salesi Manu - just playing with Manly - or he must be with the Tahs academy, surely?

Looks to be an excellent prospect at loose head. A month younger than Cruze Ah-Nau it would seem?

Wasn't Siliva Siliva in the Force Academy, or has the beers already gone to my head?

Big THP PAE left the Reds Academy to get a full team spot at the Force. I suspect he will pop (prop?) up sometime on the bench this year, as injuries take their course, despite not likely being ready for Super rugby (regardless of his impressive physique). PAE was arguably the pick of the front-rowers.

Pretty sure he's still there.

Paul Alo-Emile and Phoenix Battye have rookie contracts with the Force. Cruze Ah-Nau and Siliva Siliva are both listed as 'senior academy' in the Force 2011 Season Guide 'Feel the Force'.

Phoenix Battye will be one of the starting locks for the Force main team in their trial tomorrow against the Aust. Barbarians.
(Sharpie recovering from his hernia op and Tom Hockings apparently nursing a small injury).

Dom Shipperley is a fulltime member of the Reds squad so you would expect him to be a chance of playing this year as well.

Hooker Sam Roberson voluntarily left the Waratahs Academy late last year and has been training very impressively back at Sydney Uni since November but then so has the older rake Ben Roberts. Fortunately they are the best of mates. Does anyone know the rules concerning Under 20 eligibility as Sam didn't turn 20 until January 4?

Bruce Ross

why did he leave Bruce do you know? Dissatisfaction about coaching?

Over the years there have been many who have perceived they would be better served training under the Uni system, Ben McCalman being a notable recent example.

[Cue: Uni bashers enter left, muttering.]

Has anyone got a list of the U20s team?

I had a feeling Justin Turner was in that as well, and he has already debuted for the Force last year, but is out for this season with injury.

Farva, here you go bloke (list below was from the irb site).

Bruce, I don't know the full criteria, but Matt To'omua seems to be the oldest player from last year's squad and he had already turned 20 on the 2nd of January, six months before the tournament started.

Thanks, kiap. That would mean that Sam Roberson would be eligible again this year.
