No, not about the SOO league tonight.

I have looked at the Wallaby 22 for Saturday and come up with their origins as:

NSW 12
Qld 9
ACT 1

Those proportions pretty well represent that NSW supplies 65% of Australian S14 players, while Queensland supplies about 25% and other states and overseas about 10%.

I used the broad definition borrowed from league: where the man played his first game of senior rugby. I made one exception: in O'Connor's case, I bent a little and put him down to Queensland.

I can't find a single member of the 22 who played rugby at any significant level outside Australia before staring his S14 career.

By my math, that comes out as

NSW 12/22 = 55%
QLD 9/22 = 41%
ACT 1/22 = 4%.

I was going to ask how you counted Tuqiri, but then I remember he is not in the 22 and did a little happy dance.

Me too.

I learnt my happy dance thanks to Spook's animated gif of the greatest leader of the free world in history.

Hmmm,
Does that mean as Qld has 41% of the national squad yet only 25% of s14 players that Qld players are on average better than NSW players. (that is a math problem boys)

Biffo hasn't based it on birth, Spook. Otherwise their would be a lot more variance and a few in the 'OS' column.
