Rep team announcement? Will the CHS Opens and U16 squads be in the paper tomorrow?

Apart from @Monty Python's acquaintance, who else stood out at the tournament?

I'd expect Andrew Vatuvei (Parramatta Colts 1 - Sarah Redfern HS) to have done well. He is one of the leading try scorers in Sydney Colts 1 competition. Not bad for a second rower at one of the less superstar laden teams.

Rep team announcement? Will the CHS Opens and U16 squads be in the paper tomorrow?....

Got to Newcastle today and here's a few players that stood out for me, just on reflection and in no particular order - but I'm no selector.

The CHS opens teams will be on the CHS website (above) at some point. Program said final selections would be made after the final match today:

Cameron Goodacre - No.4 - Pennant Hills HS - State squad
Ezra Mololo - No. 3 - Randwick BHS - State squad
Andrew Vatuvei - No. 4 - Sarah Redfern HS - State squad
Ed Craig - No. 2 - Epping BHS State squad
Peter Ivic - No. 3 - Belmont HS - State squad
Tom Graham - No. 9 - Carlingford HS
Jason Kevern - No. 5 - Epping BHS
Leroy Bartlett - No. 15 - Newcastle HS - State squad
Bessie Aufaga - No. 17 - Cheater Hill HS
Romando Tuigamala - No. 5 - Sarah Redfern HS - State squad
Jack Conen - No. 15 - Blakehurst HS - State squad
Tully McPherson - No. 8 - Hills Sports HS - State squad
Harry Rowe - No. 9 - Hills Sports HS - State squad
Ethan Noonan - No. 10 - Figtree HS

(65% correct - not too bad for a casual observer, even if I do say so myself :))
Annotated following selections and note from S'UP re Goodacre being called up on 2-6-14

A few of those lads that caught your fancy @Monty Python, are in the Sydney Colts machine: Vatuvei, Craig, Conan, McPherson and Rowe spring to mind.

Ivic is a big lad and featured in the CHS team last year.

Frank Nicholson (4)
pretty sure Ivic was injured and did not play today. Not sure who, if anyone, played in 3.

Yep, good call Magilla. Actually, I think he was even on crutches. Mistaken identity on the field I guess. Wonder how Ivic played in the previous 2 days - he was good value last year at Schoolboys at Iggies.

Rocky Elsom (76)
Ivic played Combined States last year at National Champs, NSW Country U16 2012, CHS 2013, and was an injury withdrawal from NSW Country U17 for Sydney v Country JRU game.

Pretty useful CV.

Is it at bad injury ie enough to deny him a gig in CHS reps?

"... standing outside the Parthenon was this beautiful looking sheila. 'Oooooh'.... 'Ooooooooh' said young Normie, who'd come top of his class in English. 'Oooooooooh' he said. And he leaned out the window and said something real suave, like... 'Uh, Gidday'... "
