Did anyone see this on the CAS forum. After they play their actual CAS and ISA competition, all those schools are playing an interschools competition that is based by skill grades/divisions. This is something I've wanted all 3 Sydney school competitions to create so that we can see different schools who usually wouldn't play each other match up (e.g. Scots v Barker) as this would every season accurately determine who the best school in NSW is. This also enables the possibility of creating an annual fixture of best NSW school vs best QLD school, which each year could be played to crown 1 school as the best in Australia, and for this grand final fixture to be played as a curtain raiser for the wallabies. Yet even though those two competitions are creating this they still play their annual individual competitions, so this interschool competition is a positive extension that has no negative impacts on each individual competition. The AAGPS schools could very easily join this if the season was cut back from 10 rounds to 5 rounds. This would also very easily work as all 6 GPS schools join that interschools comp would mean that, there are 6 rounds, where for each GPS school plays the 3 ISA schools and the 3 CAS schools, meaning that any school from ISA, CAS or GPS won't repeat a game from their individual season by playing a team within their original competition.
I don't think though that this effects any GPS schools that play CAS or ISA schools during the initial 2 week trial period in May, as this doesn't change when their individual seasons start. I think this competition has been created because of how when the AAGPS starts their competition in the 3rd week of fixtures, for the next 5 weeks ISA and CAS have only each other to play until each of their single round competitions start, so they've just decided to create a competition out of when those schools have to play each other due to the unavailability to play GPS schools.
