What ended up being the suspension for the Scots lad from round 2 ?Did anyone else see Shore number 12s punch. Disgraceful act. He should serve a hefty suspension if the AAGPS takes these matters seriously.
he played 8. I think he is a lock not an 8, I’ve said that for 4 years now and i’ve seen nothing to change my view. How’d Fonua go? What position did he play? Rather use numbers than names of Kids but he shifts around at times.
He’s some talent though. A genuine Rugby 8.

General game impact. Contribution to the team.how do you pick your team if the round? what process do you follow.
Make sure they have a big pie warmer.Fairland is due for redevelopment and there's a fundraising drive going. Any thoughts on the proposed design from fellow GPS rugby enjoyers.
did you really watch every game played?General game impact. Contribution to the team.
Sure did this week!did you really watch every game played?
You might be reffering to something else, but what I think your talking about is when the New boy was grabbing and holding on to the Shore players Jersey and the Shore player hit his arm away. How does that deserve anything....Did anyone else see Shore number 12s punch. Disgraceful act. He should serve a hefty suspension if the AAGPS takes these matters seriously.
A good summary, thankyou for sharing. I was also at the game at HH. It's clear to me if Joey's don't make changes they'll struggle with all games. The forward pack, with the exception of some key players, isn't performing, or working together as a team. With a 2nds team behind them putting 50 plus points on some good teams in recent weeks, it suggests that Joeys haven't picked the best line up for the 1sts, with particular focus on the front and back rows. Sticking to something that's not working will hurt their chances for the rest of the competition. Kings were a great team and played to Joey's weakness through the forward pack, putting added pressure on the back line. As well as reviewing and making some player changes, coaching styles must come in to why 2 teams under the same roof are playing such different styles of rugby. I wonder if we're seeing a scenario play out where the 2nds team of the school is possibly stronger then their 1sts. I'm sure this isn't the intention of the coaches selecting the teams. Some tough decisions ahead.... All things aside, it was a great day of rugby and again boys from both schools should be commended for the way they conducted themselves. Wishing the boys all the best for the next game, unfortunately I won't be at the next one so looking forward to the commentary in the chat, pre and post games.I watched the last couple of weeks at Joeys, Like a few people on this, I always seek to sit in the same place. There is another on this forum that I generally sit with a few years older.
While Newington had a very solid game against Joeys, you never felt Joeys were out of it. Yesterday, pretty simply you did.
Joeys kicked alot of ball away last week, this week a run at all costs first half punished them.
For the first time I saw their scrum get monstered, and more importantly neither their forwards no backs made ground consistently.
Passes in the backs were often at shoulder height presenting rib cages which Kings took full advantage of.
If joeys want to be anywhere near the top on this, then they must get some go forward up front. Their 10 is being murdered because of the backfoot ball.
In the backs, They Crabbed pretty much all day. Part off this is the ball, Part of it may be not. The Joeys 2nds backline is square and consequently forces sides to square up and they feed off it. The key to 2nds is the pack and the speed of delivery.
The truth of the matter is that the scoreline did not fully reflect the dominance kings had.
Even when the 2nds 5/8 came on, he had little impact because of the poor quality ball.
Justice had a tough day at the back of a retreating scrum.
This pressure played into heaps of Dropped ball from Joeys.
A tough Thursday Game awaits against Scots and I fear the heads are down.
The following game against View could realistically see Joeys 1 from 5.
Hurts to say this as an old boy, but, thats what I saw
Well done to the kings cows, they would be mooing all the way back to parra.
Beef out
Fair enough. Also something just as rare.he played 8. I think he is a lock not an 8, I’ve said that for 4 years now and i’ve seen nothing to change my view.
Ghattas was Joeys best forward but he is playing out of position, i’d play him at 2 and bring up the 7 from the 2’s. But the back row isn’t the problem, the other tight five players are a real issue, under size for this level and I would say not mobile or skilful enough to make up for it. The reason why the seconds are dominating though is a combo of a decent team and a weak seconds comp (the natural outcome of other schools development programs ). add in much better coaching in the seconds particularly in terms of man management and a clear picture forms.A good summary, thankyou for sharing. wow, impressive. i am surprised you picked a Joeys tight 5 player, they were on skates all day.Sure did this week!
Completely different play. Timestamp 1:00:56 right side of the screen. Shore number 12 stands up and punches Newington 17 unprovoked. No place for this in the game. DisgustingYou might be reffering to something else, but what I think your talking about is when the New boy was grabbing and holding on to the Shore players Jersey and the Shore player hit his arm away.
