On 'Grand Final Weekend', if Sydney can take home that HL Shield it will be like their grand final.

From Brett McKay's tips:

Over in the west, the Force shouldn’t have too much trouble with Sydney – but, it was the Rays that ended Perth’s two-year unbeaten run at McGillivray.
Beware the curve ball…

And he's right. The supposedly hapless Rays last year, second last on the ladder, put a torpedo into the Spirit and even ran through them in the second half. From then on Perth were scrambling to scrape into that fourth-place berth for the semis.

Could this be Sydney's day? They got within three points of nDrua last start.

Obviously not this time....

Western Force 63:15 Sydney Rays.

Should I take offence at the fact that every other team on RA's NRC ladder and website get their local/state affiliation and the Western Force get abbreviated to just the "Force"??

Great day up on the hill. I thought we were under the pump for the first 20 or so and were getting whistled off the park. Then the pigs started to get some dominance and it all started with a rolling maul. The whole game changed after that and we smashed them all over the park for the rest of the game. That's was as good a display of both tight and loose play from a pack that you'd want to see.

I am perplexed as we have gone from three Sydney sides to now one and without doubt the rays have the wooden spoon all locked up. What is wrong with rugby in nsw.

No you shouldn’t take offence but I’m sure you will.

If you can fit in Queensland Country (QLD Country) then surely you can fit in Western Force (WESTN Force)?

You might have to ask someone in the Force's media team why they couldn't fit in 'Western Force' when writing up the fixtures on the Force website............

Always good to get a big win coming into the final rounds.

"Force" naming thing is a non issue. Most likely they (the unpaid intern) weren't sure if we were the Perth Force or Western Force.
