it might rain again, seems like the rain isn't going anywhere....queensland need to train for wet weather..

Both teams have shown an ability to push it in plenty wet conditions recently. Stewart’s boot could be telling in play.

This should be a cracker of a match. With crowd factor would almost go Fiji but Queensland country are the one side who could do what few others have done which is beat them at home. Should be good crowd for this.

Yep as at least the nrc final would get plenty of media attention in Fiji next to the zero it would get here. The football by the top 6 sides been very good but so many don’t know about it as no marketing / media..

as i said earlier, FOX trying to kill interest in rugby union by taking the rights for the major tournaments and refusing to promote them..do the NRL finals get a lot of media attention on other channels?

There's no interest from the free to air networks. They have struggled to generate interest in showing the end of year tour matches on FTA.

If the NRC wasn't broadcast by Fox there probably wouldn't be an NRC.

I don't doubt that's correct.

Australian rugby is a steaming pile of turds right now.

The interest is low and going lower.

If the NRC wasn't broadcast by Fox there probably wouldn't be an NRC.

I say Fox is the abusive husband to rugby's battered wife.

And like so many sour domestic arrangements, the woman keeps going back for more.

Uncle Rupe, while putting porridge on the table, is happy to leech the life out of the game (while there is still blood to bleed, of course - but when it reaches a certain ebb, Sanzaar will be dropped like a stone).

Kiap, if Fox pull out, the only way rugby will be shown on FTA is if RA is willing to pay for it. Do you think that will happen, and what effect would that have on RA's revenue/bottom line?

the only way rugby will be shown
There are many ways rugby could be shown.

In other words, I don't agree with your premise.

However, we've all thread-jacked this NRC Grand Final topic now. Let's leave this place as the match thread it was intended to be.

There are dedicated discussion topics within these forums on: RA, TV … and future prognostications thereof. Take your points to one of those and I can read and consider replying at large. :)

the weather will be the same if not worse..shame though, this is my city, it has barely rained here for 4 straight months and has been a downpour the last 2 weeks..
