I hate that he has a good record, this isn't a normal foul play record. It's a ref abuse record and his on-field attitude to them is woeful. That said, this ban was NEVER going to eat into actual RWC matches. We must not forget where WR (World Rugby) is headquartered.

I am starting to disagree with the whole good record thing, let alone complete a course to reduce another week when it's a dangerous tackle.

I have also read two of Jaco 3 allegations he couldn't hear what was said, just said he was looking in my direction and talking. So could be talking to another Leinster player about him and his taken it personally. One of them also accusing him of saying something while with his kids on the pitch seems to be stretching it.

I am a Munster fan, and not a huge Sexton fan but the carry on that he deserved a year and no body taking into account what the reports actually say is far stretched. Why did it take this long for the hearing?

Jersey Reds have ceased operations. Sad to see Clubs go but the RFU have a lot of them in a bad way

So just saw that the Sharks sold there naming rights. This season they will be known as "The Hollywood bets Sharks"

Absolutely shite sounding

that’s the sharks in South Africa, all the rsa sides have been ‘sponsored’ names from a long time now

cell c sharks
Emirates Lions
Vodacom bulls
Dhl stormers
Toyota cheetahs

There pretty standard names like the Qantas Wallabies or HSBC Waratahs. Fans don’t use them but “The Hollywood Bets Sharks” is a bit much.

No different to stadiums. Suncorp, AAMI pretty standard. The old stadium at Townsville “1300 Smiles Stadium” silly.

Chances Alex Nankivell becomes an Irish Centre come 2027? Or have the rules got stricter?

Played for Maori in 2022 & AB XV in 2022. 26 years old and just started his contract with Munster....

Residency is 5 years, so would be only playing for Ireland under the grandparent/parent rule. Not going to wait 5 years for a 31 year old to make his debut.

Just read an article to check, he would need to do the 5 years.

Thinking crazy loopholes, would it be possible for Irish government/Olympic team pull a fast one citizenship wise. Then he plays a 7s qualifying tournament under Olympic guidelines, would that then bypass the WR (World Rugby) residency rules? It was how players were getting around the changing of countries before the 3 year stand down was introduced.

Also interesting that he was James Lowe house mate, better get use to hating him because the Munster/Leinster rivalry will be drilled into him.

Thanks. Wasn't fully aware of the timings now. With no dodgy business I can't see him doing it. Only a 2 year contract as well so who knows where he will be.

That rule is really going to hurt Scotland over the next few years. There U20s have been really poor and they have leant on the recruitment path. No wonder they want the other Tuipolotu as well.

That's how Aus solves the 8 issue then: give Ekuasi Citizenship and have him play in the Olympics next year ;)

nah it's only 5 years if you qualify through residency, it's still 3 years if your wee ma is a weegie.

It's no years if your wee ma is a weegie, instantly qualified and can be selected from anywhere in the world.

Example:
If the other Tuipolotu wanted to play for Scotland and stay at the Tahs, Scotland is entitled to pick him. Even worse is the Tahs have to obey the international window rule for 6N even if it meant losing a key player for 9 weeks mid season.

True, but much like Dickie and Namibia it probably spells the end of his ability to obtain future contracts within Australia.

He’ll definitely kill it over there.

He‘s a good Super Rugby player which is essentially the same as being an Irish international rockstar.

Not at the moment, but I believe they intend to make it their second capture team in the future.

From this article about Aumua's selection last year:
NZ Rugby granted the licence for Moana Pasifika to participate in Super Rugby Pacific, and it is understood that the All Blacks can select up to three players from the franchise. While the All Blacks XV is not a “capture” team, meaning Aumua could still play for Samoa or Fiji, Mapusua says it signals the centre is on New Zealand’s radar and could be elevated to the senior squad.
