Well, if it counts for anything, my experience of the second one was far more exciting. I was at the Star City Casino watching the game with mates on the big screen they used to have in the sports bar. Most of the crowd there were Kiwis which only improved the after the buzzer win. Plenty of refreshing beverages also added to the atmosphere.

Like most people I'm guessing, my experience of the Wales game was a little more sombre. By myself in the loungeroom in the middle of the night.

That said, both were incredibly exciting moments. The Wales one was certainly luckier as we lost the ball with a minute to go and Wales gave it back to us. The try against Wales came out of nothing though whereas the try against the ABs was after sustained pressure in the red zone.

I'm going to go with the try against Wales as my favourite. Scoring a try after the buzzer at Millenium Stadium to secure a win in Nathan Sharpe's final test was a pretty amazing moment.

To be fair, Stephen Donald gave us the ball back in the 2nd one as well. Same thing happened in Melbourne, you'd think teams would've learned by now. Kick it OUT.

In the new "You Choose" segment, I voted for Kurtley Beale on the basis of degree of difficulty of the kick and the fact that a win at altitude in South Africa for the first time in forever.

The John Eales one was a very close second on the basis of a) it was to win a Bledisloe Cup in New Zealand and b) how iconic the image of him kicking it and raising his fists in triumph is.

Those kicks are all very special. Beale's kick cracked a daunting hoodoo that night so I would give it to him.

I watched everyone of those kicks live or live on TV and I would pick John Eales kick hands down. The tension was unbelievable and 2 metre tall guys shouldn't be able to kick like that.

I didn't have to think long about it:

Eales' kick by far.

Goal kicker off the field.......... the captain steps up to take the kick to retain the Bledisloe, in New Zealand.

Mortlock's kick would've been my second choice. From the sideline, in South Africa, to win our first ever Tri-Nations.

Eales for mine then Mortlock. The kicks themselves were fantastic, but the other thing is that I remember, watching both games and being confident that we would get over the line. Was truly a golden era in Australian Rugby.
