This is a pretty significant announcement/development for the game. A very exciting development. I just hope RA have some money to support the Wallaroos through it.

Yeah, my hope is that the cross-regional series proposed as a qualifier is made a permanent fixture in the calendar and that the schedule for this league structure involves each team playing their divisional rivals once for 5 games. With a little more work the Wallaroos could see a solid 8-12 games a season. Which I would hope would be enough to leverage enough sponsorship to hopefully contract an extended squad of players on a full time basis.

I really like the look of this, while admitting I not a great follower of women's rugby, I do believe it really a great way to grow our game.

Though for a dinasour like me it causes a problem, once upon a time you knew a woman in the clubrooms was either a players wife/girlfriend or more importantly running the kitchen.......shit now they maybe a player and that changes whole dynamics :D
