The owner has come out and said that Link was basically incompetent and didn't want to integrate. The players were unhappy and weren't communicating.

Says that they are all happy now - whether that's true or not time will tell.

Gaz has been playing extremely well on the wing. Scoring tries and cutting them up basically. He's there because he deserves to be because I'm sure they would have let him go pretty quick after Link if he wasn't cutting it.

And this is our saviour at the reds. At the tahs it was not enough support from the board (??) at Stade it was to many good looking players. I wonder what he'll blame at the reds?

Humble pie digested. My error comes from judging from the four Stade games I have seen this year - two before Link and two after. In the first two, they were as boring as ... well, as the Tahs ... and scored one low-quality try. In the last two they were adventurous and scored high quality tries.

Perhaps I should have written:

"New coach has transformed the same squad which was totally boring, couldn't win and leaked tries into a try-scoring and winning machine playing attractuive within weeks of taking over."

I hope, for Queensland's sake, that you don't get the TahLink rugby that Stade got - boring as in attack but without the defence.

link is a great coach, i was sad nsw gave him the chop.

he is a fantastic signing for the reds and regardless of if your playing boring rugby or not, if you make the finals or actually start winning some games then, who cares!

Yeah wj I agree. What is the deal with QLDers ripping on Link? 10-man rugby is what you blokes did for years under Knuckles and you had no problems then. Winning every game by a single point means you win the comp...

Looks like ripping to me. :nta: I understand cheez's comments now he's put a bit of context around it.

However, my point is: don't start out by hating the bloke just yet. He's the closest thing to Knuckles you've had for a few years and that should suit you lot.

Wait until he stuffs up and THEN start hating him
