not much has been announced yet, but go to our wiki page and you can find them there as they get announced.

Can't they just be stuck here? instead of having to hunt for them? Isn't it why they invented the sticky?

I made a bet teh Canes wouldn't go top half of the league with my mate, I regret it.

looks like a traditional canes team though.

Nice backline, shame about the pack.

LOL at the Canes team, that's probably the worst tight 5 in the comp? Same shit for them.

Cliffy is officially out and Robinson and Horne are likely to be from the bench according to reports so from the official 25 man squad, you'd assume this is the team:

1. Kepu
2. TPN
3. Baxter
4. Mumm
5. Douglas
6. Dennis
7. Waugh
8. Mowen
9. Burgess
10. Barnes
11. Mitchell
12. Carter
13. Cross
14. Turner
15. Beale

16. Fitzpatrick
17. Robinson
18. Timani
19. Alcock
20. McKibben
21. Halangahu
22. Horne

So glad to see Holmes is finally displaced.

you don't think Afa Pakalani will get a shot from the bench?

To provide cover at 9 & 10 you have to have McK and Hangers. That only leaves one spot free and Horne has got dibs on that so regrettably Pakalani misses out. But it won't be long till he gets an opportunity on the bench - my bet would be that as soon as Horne starts Pakalani goes to 22 and Cross drops out because that gives better balance and if Horne gets hurt (please no) then Turner goes to 13.

Just found the Tah website announcement of a 25 man squad with Palu in it. Dated yesterday, but it must have been close to midnight when they put it up. If we assume Palu is out and this is just a smokescreen then it looks like the squad qwerty posted plus Tilse and Pakalani to cover Robinson, Horne and Turner. No mention in the article of any concerns with Barnes or Turner. Providing this is not more smoke-blowing it looks like they'll be ready to go.

Actually Cross could be miss out all together, if he's been as bad as the trial reports suggest. Wouldn't be surprised to see Turner at 13 and Pakalani 14.

From the article on the Tahs website: “Rob got some good game time in the curtain raiser last week and came through that well, and we’ve also had Tom Carter, Ryan Cross and Lachie Turner who have performed well in the centres,” said Hickey. “We need to make sure his return comes at the right time.

Blowing smoke again? or does Hickey genuinely believe Cross played well? Just have to be patient and see I guess.

Look for Kepu to be running the ball in Palu's role. Not a bad substitute really, Kepu is one of the few in Oz Rugby that can carry with as much presence as Palu and TPN.

Cross didn't play well in Nowra, not that a lot of play went his way. I'd like to see Turner at 13 and Pakalani at 14 where they teamed up against Fiji, albeit not a Super level team.

Hickey blowing smoke? Tell me it ain't true.

Maybe he's been reading Sun Tzu like McQueen has and wants to present the opposition with as little information as possible. McQueen was a master at it in his last coaching gig.

I'd like to see Turner at 13, particularly in a game like this where you can rely on his defense against Morty and his speed just might find Morty has slowed a bit on the turn. I want Horne at 13 and Turner at 14 for round 2 & 3, those two games could almost define the season - particularly the game in Christchurch.

Gee, in my eyes, this Highlanders team looks very average

Their pack is as good as any in the comp, shame that even their forward quality has the depth of a puddle.
