Go rape those islands boys!

The New Zealand Rugby Union has given the green light to its Super 15 sides to recruit up to two foreign players for next season.

In the past, the Chiefs, Hurricanes, Highlanders, Blues and Crusaders have been barred from signing foreign players except in exceptional circumstances.

However the NZRU has opted to relax the rules ahead of the expanded Super 15 competition.

Clubs can now sign overseas players if no New Zealand alternative is available - although Pacific Island players will not be classed as foreigners under the new agreement.

The NZRU, though, will only allow one overseas fly-half and tighthead prop across all five franchises.

"We're comfortable that we can achieve that and this gives some flexibility to franchises in their recruitment and contracting," NZRU chief executive Steve Tew said.

Actually Scarfman, since it's a Maori word and they have no "S" in their alphabet, it's simply "Kiwi".
