I just saw the article on this.. better chill the bubbly!

If the reports are true, and JO'N stands down at the press conference, I wonder who will assume the top job? What does this mean for Robbie? What will Nuci do? Who will have the shits, and who will be rejoicing? Will the total structure of the ARU board change? So many questions! So many possibilities!

Interesting timing too, given we play the AB's next week.

I'm surprised JON is stepping down before the Lions tour, which would give him the spectacular final act that he would crave. That makes me nervous, even though it was becoming obvious the Echo job would be taking up a lot of his time.

James Packer, his new full-time boss at Echo Entertainment, will be gaining a war chest of $500M in the fall-out from Kerry Stokes failed attempt to get a hold of Foxtel - News will buy Fox Sports outright. Is there a link? I can't quite put my finger on it.

I guess Totality Tony really will be responsible for the totality of rugby in Australia. David Gallop would make a good replacement though.
