Good news for the Reds as James Horwill is ahead of schedule & should return by round 5 rather than round 7.

He has had the screws in his foot removed this week & will resume running in two weeks.

Now I'm not an expert on injuries but if you are able to run then why won't he be available by round 1?

It's not like coming back from a shoulder injury were contact sessions are required 1st, surely if you can run then his only problem should be fitness.

The injury is a notoriously slow healer. I reckon give him as much time as possible

Its the same injury that Cords had so much trouble with.

Supposedly its heightened by the size of Horwill. 117kgs running around on that type of injury is a concern. I would suggest his running in 2 weeks would be jogging.

I agree with Sully. I would hate to see him rushed back early only to injure himself again. I am hoping they won't rush him back into running but rather use the pool to help him build fitness and strength.
