Ireland v Wallabies - Sunday 1 Dec, 2:10 AEDT

We actually kept it close early on, negating the rush D. When the English outside back were disillusioned from the constant running we went wide and they made misreads as they all seem to want to make an impact. Really clever tactics.

I'm sure JS has a plan for the weekend. I think he was willing to lose against Scotland to implement his plan this week. I guess we'll see if that paid off.
I mean yeah but... we do get carried away with the analysis sometimes. The forwards won gainline ball and that allowed us to play an expansive game against tiring/retreating defence. That's always how it works.

We didn't achieve this against Scroteland and so we resorted to ineffective chip-kicks (although I thought early on we did and we still used chip kicks which is why I think it may have been coached).

I still remember Squidge's analysis of EJs tactical 'total rugby' revolution around when he joined the Wallabies...

Agree

No one can overanalyze unplanned events quite like old Squidge

I have not seen Valetini playing better than he is this year, he's always been a strong performer but since moving to 6 he must be one of the best in the world.
Will be interesting seeing him head to head with a more enforcer 6/lock in Beirne. He's a bit more in the Kremer/Dutoit mould (but a downgrade). Valetini has that fantastic no.8 style go forward (like Weise), but these grizzled northerners love shifting tin.

Very, I can't wait as it will be one of the big challenges in this game. Think we will make it far more of a contest than the Scotland game. Can't wait.

Dutoit is the best openside in the world by a fair way.

I think we will lose by 15 odd TBH. I can see it being a very similar game to the Scotland one.

Will be unreal if we manage a win though. I think at 2/3 we have already succeeded on this tour.
True. I'm probably just a tad optimistic :) I agree with what we've achieved so far, it's been a successful tour. Considering where we were at the start of the year.
